Teaching Strategies Plus

Suzuki Circle's Teaching Strategies is a one-week (20 hour) online course that offers teachers the opportunity to receive feedback from master teacher Caroline Fraser and share ideas and encouragement within a community of teachers learning together. Each day will also include observation and discussion of daily master classes taught by Caroline.

There will be two sessions with a limit of 10 participants each:

Session I (7/12 - 7/16)

Session II (7/19 - 7/23)

Participants may bring a lesson video from their studio or teach one of their own students during class time, receiving feedback on those lessons. As an alternative, participants may instead choose to teach a student belonging to another course participant, and receive feedback on their lesson as a “guest teacher.” Participants choosing this option will be paired with another teacher to “swap” students during the class.

Plus?

Already an invaluable experience, Teaching Strategies Plus takes it one step further by offering the course "plus" optional participation in everything else happening at Suzuki Circle 2021:

  • Group Class observations

  • Parent Talks

  • Comfy Concert
  • Student Recitals
  • Suzuki Circle Cafe teacher discussion

  • Teacher Music Sharing performance opportunity

  • Final Concert and Worldwide BBQ

With this expanded online Teaching Strategies course, we aim to build community and inspire students and teachers alike with new ideas and perspectives to bring back to their home studios.
